iPhone 7用とされるアルミ製リアハウジング部品には、 iPhone 6s より大きなカメラレンズホールと新しいデザインのアンテナゲート用の樹脂ライン。しかし、iPad Proに装備され、iPhone 7 にもとウワサの Smart Connectorはないようだ。
