これまでにない薄さの iPhone 6s

この夏、Appleが発表する新しい iPhone には、極小のLEDチップを使ったバックライトが採用され、これまににない薄さを実現したデザインとなるそうだ。

”Apple, in order for its next-generation iPhones to become slimmer and lighter, will reportedly adopt 0.4t (dimensions of 3.0 x 0.85 x 0.4mm) LED chips for backlight units (BLUs), smaller than the 0.6t (3.0 x 0.85 x 0.6mm) adopted for the existing iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.【digitimes】

現在、 iPhone 6に使われているバックライドのLEDチップは 0.6t (3.0 x 0.85 x 0.6mm)、それよりも10％も薄い0.4t LEDチップ(3.0 x 0.85 x 0.4mm) が新しい iPhone 用として、日亜化学と豊田合成から供給されるそうだ。

デザインが変更されてより薄くなるのか…、その空いたスペースにバッテリーが入り、これまで以上にバッテリー容量が増える可能性がある。さらに、誰しもが気になるカメラレンズの出っ張り。新しい iPhone では、これが解消される可能性がかなり高いだろう。
