2018年モデルのiPhoneは、6.5と6.1インチスクリーンモデル追加

2018年に発売されるiPhone Xの次世代モデルは、Plusモデルとされる6.5インチと低価格の6.1インチスクリーンモデルが追加されるようだ。

Foxconnが、現行のiPhone Xと同サイズ、Plus(6.5インチ)の90%と6.1インチの75%を製造、その他はPegatronが製造を行う。

6.1インチモデルには、スペースグレイ、ホワイト、ブルー、レッド、オレンジの5色が用意されるという。5色カラーモデルの廉価版というと、過去にはiPhone 5cがあった。iPhone 5cは、廉価版という位置付けだったが、iPhone 5 と価格差がなかったため、販売数が伸びず消えていった残念なモデルだった。
2018年の廉価版6.1インチモデルは、750ドル（米国モデル）で販売されると予想されていることから、iPhone Xとの差別化がはっきりしているので人気モデルとなる可能性が高い。
