Apple Storeからフィットネス&スポーツアクセサリーが消える

”Ahead of the April 24th launch of its first wearable, Apple has started removing competing health and fitness products from its retail stores. Re/code reports that the company is pulling fitness bands from Nike and Jawbone from its shelves.【9to5mac】

Apple Watch の発売に向けて、Nike 製品や Jawbone リストバンド、Garmin Vivofit Wireless Fitness Wrist Band など iPhone やiPad と接続できるフィットネス&スポーツアクセサリーがApple Store の店頭から姿を消しているそうだ。

フィットネス＆スポーツアクセサリーは、その機能が Apple Watch に搭載されているのだから Apple Store でわざわざ販売することはない。その機能が必要なら Apple Watch を購入すれば良いのだから。これらのアクセサリーを製造販売していた業者にとっては困ったことだが、これがApple流の販売方法なのだから仕方がない。
現在、 Apple Online Store では、フィットネス＆スポーツアクセサリーは販売されているが、これも時間の問題。 Jawbone リストバンドは、とてもよくできた製品でユーザも多い。しかし、メーカーも Apple Watch 発売後には販売をやめる可能性もある。 Apple Watch は要らないけど、興味があるという読者さんは今のうちに購入した方が良いだろう。今なら、 Apple Online Store にもamazonにも潤沢に製品がある。
