iPhone 7 Plus には予想を超えるカメラが搭載？

”Apple’s next-generation, jumbo-size iPhone is expected to come in a dual-camera configuration — with optical image stabilization and zoom — achieved through technology procured from last year’s LinX acquisition, according to well-connected KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.【appleinsider】

iPhone 6s Plus には光学式手ぶれ補正機能がついた12メガピクセルiSightカメラが搭載され、デジカメとしては十分な性能だが、ズーム画像には限界があった。しかし、LinXの技術が次世代 iPhone にデュアルレンズ構成、光学手振れ補正、ズーム時のピンボケなどを大幅に改善してくれるかもしれない。

LinXとは、去年 Appleが買収したイスラエルにあるカメラモジュールメーカーで、最大4つのカメラモジュールを搭載した製品を開発している。

室内撮影で照明が十分ではない環境下で撮影されたLinXのプレゼン画像を見てみると、iPhone 5やGalaxy S4と比較して、明らかにLinX社のカメラモジュールの画像はオブジェクトやラベルなどが鮮明に写っているのがわかる。

iPhone 7 Plus にこの技術が採用されるかどうか、期待されるが、今のところSonyが開発している12メガピクセルのデュアルカメラモジュールが搭載されるようだ。
